Social Responsibility

Giving back to the communities we live in is an essential part of being a responsible business. Since our company specializes in IT, we promote it by helping educational institutions provide better technical learning opportunities. We’ve helped universities and institutes by creating a modern computer lab, assisting with renovations, and purchasing equipment.

Apart from educational efforts, we have a history of promoting blood donation events and encouraging our employees to participate by providing extra days off as a thank-you. Donating blood can save someone’s life in the event of an accident, surgery, or medical condition.

We’ve also started organizing first-aid training with professional instructors for our employees. Knowledge of first aid can have psychological benefits, reducing anxiety and stress and making people feel more confident, especially when driving or going on adventurous vacations.

Ecological Efforts

Environmental protection consists of multiple activities that require commitment, patience, and a strategic approach. At Apriorit, we introduce eco-friendly practices step by step. For example, we’ve already shifted to cloud-based infrastructure and electronic document management to minimize our carbon footprint and save paper.

Another essential milestone we have achieved is reduced electricity consumption thanks to energy-saving equipment and technology. Apriorit also supports a hybrid work model, offering employees to balance time in the office with working from home. This reduces commute times and lowers the associated vehicle emissions.

We help local communities maintain (clean) local parks and common areas to beautify the cities we live in (and bond over a pizza party afterwards). Apriorit also has ongoing waste sorting and battery collection initiatives across our offices to popularize recycling and make it accessible to our employees.

Governance

Apriorit maintains high corporate governance standards across our work processes, employer–employee relationships, and B2B partnerships.

We prioritize transparency throughout our project workflows and promote accountability at every level. Our practices align with international data protection and security requirements such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ISO/IEC 27001.

To protect our projects’ data, infrastructure, and other essential components, the Apriorit team adheres to strict cybersecurity practices. For example, we implement robust data encryption mechanisms, conduct security testing and security audits, and always use multi-factor authentication. Protecting clients’ software is our top priority.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

While achieving project goals and driving towards technological progress, we make sure every team member feels accepted no matter their culture, age, or gender.

We already have offices in five countries across two continents and plan to keep expanding our presence. As an international company, Apriorit commits to respecting each country’s culture, integrating our business processes with local laws and traditions in mind.

Our teams include specialists from different age groups, as we value people’s talents, knowledge, initiatives, and soft skills above everything else. Around 30% of our employees and 50% of company leaders are women. Apriorit is a part of the Women in Tech community, and our employees regularly attend events like Tech Novation that support women in IT.

Employee Well-being

Apriorit’s top priority is to create an environment where our employees feel safe, stress-free, and focused on the tasks at hand. We ensure comfortable working conditions with everything from massage chairs in offices to (optional) vaccination events during the COVID era.

A significant part of caring about our staff is providing paid health insurance, therapy sessions, and legal consultations. We arrange lectures, inviting medical professionals to share knowledge on important topics and answer employees’ questions. Apriorit also covers gym expenses or other sports activities of choice either in full or partially.

To create a professional bond and ensure transparency between employees and management, we hold regular all-hands meetings, keeping employees informed about company affairs and future plans. Apriorit management encourages employees to provide honest feedback and takes time to address their questions and concerns.

Education and Knowledge Sharing

Encouraging our employees to grow professionally is one of Apriorit’s cornerstones. For the past 20+ years, we’ve been nourishing a culture of knowledge sharing through our corporate university, mentorship programs, and education support.

Apriorit pays attention to internal talent development both in terms of hard and soft skills. We support employees’ participation in industry events, offer free English courses, and provide educational materials.

The knowledge our employees gain helps them both in their work and beyond. Apriorit specialists give back to their communities by organizing free IT courses for students, giving lectures in universities, and participating in conferences as speakers. We’re proud to see our employees being invited to hackathons as judges.

Support Ukraine

As a company with Ukrainian roots, Apriorit has been participating in volunteering and humanitarian initiatives since the beginning of the russian aggression in 2014. After the full-scale invasion in 2022, we multiplied our efforts, supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine by participating in donation initiatives and social events.

We also organize lectures for employees on how to communicate with veterans, active military personnel, and civilians who have suffered a loss. In this way, we promote compassionate and respectful communication, foster social reintegration, and ensure community support.

Apriorit highly appreciates the service of our employees who have decided to become defenders of Ukraine. Apart from health insurance, financial support, regular communication, and gifts during their time serving, each of them can count on having a place in the company after their return.
